Cause I'm leaving...
HEH It's 11:11 pm!!! woot yeah. Sorry I got a little excited there! Anyway I leave tomorrow for Orillia where I will hang out with my rents and some relatives for the night. Wednesday I hook up with Ken and Barb (my employers) and we head on up to New Liskeard! Wed. night all the staff is staying in town in a hotel and bright and early thursday we'll load the boat, get supplies, and head into the island for the summer! I'm excited!!! Anyway this is my final post for the summer so Cheers!
Vacationing
Well I"ve been home for two weeks and just beginning my third and final week here in Stratford. It's been a nice visit and I've seen just about everyone once. Some people more than that :D The teeth removal went good. Its exactly one week later today and I'm almost back to normal, the swelling is gone and the bruising is going and such so YAY. Brians visit was nice, good to see people. Yah. So thats about all that i've been doing. I get to go see Prov Players and Aslans Child in london on the 5th...I cannot wait to see my friends! oh man its exciting. Anyway just thought i'd update quick. Cheers
Travelling Home never works!
So it seems I cannot make a trip home without having some sort of problem! Lets recap: 1. home for christmas 2004/05 - bus catches on fire. 2. home for summer 2005 - bus searched for criminals 3. home for christmas 2005-06 - van runs out of gas, have to go back for a truck to get to airport AND bag explodes on the plane, has to be brought in with a wheelchair. (makes up for lack of adventure when i came home for Jer's wedding) 4. home for summer 2006 (ie yesterday) bags wouldnt fit in frist car...went to get a truck...truck wouldnt start...woke up boys to jump it...truck wouldnt jump start...found car...bags wouldnt fit...threw bags on top of people in back seat...raced down the highway...missed my flight...jumped on the milk run to Toronto instead...front pocket exploded on the conveyor belt...picked up socks...went home. So there you go. Yet another installation of shel's travels. Coming to a book store near you!
Production Week
Wow so i've been a bit busy lately. This past week we put on our major production for the week. An Inspector Calls by J.B. Priestly. I was on the crew doing makeup. However on sunday one of the actors fell down the stairs and sprained her ankel. So I went to tell the director what had happened (as she had been on her way to rehersal) and she was taken to the hospital. I was asked to stand in for her until she could return. So ended up doing the entire run performing as the maid Edna. Saturday was our closing night and today we took the set down. It's been a crazy week and I'm dead tired now but it was all worth it (i still did makeup). Yeah so if you've been wondering where i'd gotten to, thats what I was doing. I shall be around much more again now. 30 Hour Famine is coming up in two weeks now so thats the next big thing then its just exams and HOME. I'm super excited to come home. I really cannot wait! It'll be nice to be back in civilization with my family and friends there and not living in dorm! ah well, it'll come soon! Anyway I just wanted to quickly update y'all on whats going on! Also new word to add to your vocab: Squiffy. (definition: drunk/acting drunk). Enjoy :D

Amazing Weekend
Hey! I'm catching up on all sorts of coorespondence today! its great. Yeah so I had a great weekend. On friday we went to the Prov mens hockey teams game against hated rivals Steinbach bible college (SBC) and we definately won! So we're still undefeated in the regular season! Everytime we go I get right into it and end up with no voice in the morning and everyone says i'm going to be a hockey mom someday but they said i'd be a soccor mom during the soccor season too so we've settled on a sports mom in general. Dad says I can be like my aunt who used to take a cowbell to her son's games! I think that would be funny! Yeah so thats my future! Then on saturday Allison, Marilee, Bryan and I went to the Forks to go skating. It was sooooo much fun, very cold tho! They have trails and one normal rink, one circular rink, and of course the river so that was amazing. It was cold but thats okay. We played piddidle on the way up and I was definately the winner (and I even lost three of my shirts so you can guess how bad it went for the others!) There are pics but i'm not allowed to show them to anyone! :( but they are sketch so it makes sense. OH WELL. Anyway then on sunday was a really really great message at church. It was all about the sports analogies! The message was called: "who me, coach?" and it was like we are wearing the team jerseys but when it comes to actually getting into the action we have all sorts of excuses as to why we cant get in there. So the point is to just get on the ice and we'll learn as we go! Then i spent the afternoon getting new tunes from people so I have lots of techno now and some Cirque du Soliel so that was super exciting! Then it was superbowl 40! heck yes! we all went to steve's place and watched on satilite so we got to watch the american commercials. They were great, Budwiser had the best ones as usual! but it was fun. With the exception of steve we were all cheering for seattle in order to spite a steelers fan here at school and cause they were the underdogs but they lost so that was sad. Then we came home and Bryan, Allison, Jordon, and Ashley and I watched Saved cause al hadn't seen it and we all agree that it's an exaggerated version of Prov, which is really sad but kind of funny! And there didnt seem to be a security guard last night so we were there till 1am when we should have been kicked out at midnight so it was fun. Bryan was definately keeping al and i warm on the couch...there was a lot of cuddling going on but its all good. Anyway now i have a lot of neglected hmwk and i wanna have a nap so i'm gonna end this (its quite long enough anyway) Have a good day y'all
A fast update
Hey folks, I"m extremely tired and such but i thought i'd maybe better update! So yesterday I was in Steinbach driving marilees car (standard woot) and I was backing out of a parking space and definately hit a guy going behind me. there was no damage that was visible at all but he called tonight to say that his tire was misaligned so I have to pay for it. Yeah, definately burst into tears a few times over this. But tonight I went to our hockey teams home opener. We definately won 2-1, it was great. Yeah and things are so not good with my roommate right now that i'm not even going to get into it! Anyway I"ll stop now. G'night
Feelin guilty
Well i'm starting to feel a bit guilty about the lack of updateing....also I havent been on msn or checking my email all that much either so sorry to those who have desired my communication. Anyway quick update, christmas was great, got to meet Kev's newest child, a son named Andrew and of course his older sister Trinity was there and cute as can be and Zach was there and that was sort of hard but really good. Dad's side was amazing fun as usual. New Years I worked so that was interesting...a fight, drunk people, the normal. Anyway i really need to get going, going to see narnia again with the family. LVOE
HOME
So i'm finally home!! Let me tell you its been an interesting trip to get here!! First off on the way to the city to the airport on saturday morning we ran out of gas...so the driver had to go back and get another vehicle. He comes back with a pickup truck!! so we threw our gear in the bed and four girls and our driver pile into the truck. Luckily it was an extended cab so it wasnt so bad. So we got there late and because the flight was full we couldnt all sit together so that sucked...but we sat near each other. THen we get home and are waiting on the baggage and Allison and Bethany get theirs and head out but i'm standing there with momma waiting and waiting and waiting....and finally there are four people and no bags so this lady is going around saying "i'm sorry we dont have your bags....blah blah blah" and we give her our last names and she didnt recognize mine and then she's like "oh wait, I think we do have yours" so in comes my split open bag in a WHEEL CHAIR!!! so all was well but it was really funny. SO now i'm home and i start work again tomorrow so that will be annoying but oh well i need the money so meh. Anyway merry christmas i'm off!

Happiest Girl in the Whole of the World
So tonight I had to get to church for a meeting and I didnt know how i was going to get there so allison (who also had to get there) suggested that we borrow a stick shift cause she knew how to drive and then i was like I WANNA LEARN so barry started teaching me right there in the cafeteria on our chairs. So we borrowed Marilee's car and I learned to drive STANDARD!!!!!! and i was flippin good at it!!!!!! oh yes, stalled once in the parking lot there and twice in the parking lot here and the rest was quite smooth and easy. Allison was quite impressed and frankly so am I!!! So my car next year will definately be a stick and i'll hafta practice more!! eventually maybe i'll even be able to do city driving (Niverville doesnt count as city persay) but yeah so i'm super excited and hungry!!! oh and i have a presentation at 8:30am so i should try to go to bed early tonight which sucks cause i'm just toooo excited!!!!!!!1
Weekend Fun
So i went to Ontario for the weekend and it rocked my socks!!! It was Jer's wedding so the rehersal was friday night and they gave me a beautiful bracelet for doing a reading in the wedding and the rehersal went real well...then the groom, his men, his parents, and those of us who had flown in from further away (me and his bosses from Manitoulin) went to the bar (Molly Blooms) where there was a live band who was so much fun and I really want to go back to see (Christmas anyone?) and we racked up a tab of $350 and lost the best man and brides brother once they were completely hammered....so I got home after 2am (stopped in at 7eleven on the way to see my friends there). The next day was the wedding and it went super smooth and I learned how to pin corsages on people so if you ever need that one done, i'm able and willing to help out! The bride was so beautiful and they just grinned the whole way thru and it was the best wedding I think I've ever been to!! The reception was of course hilarious in its entirity because well lets face it, it was a mac-y event and we rock. the tables were labelled as fish, so we were at Carp and that was highly amusing!! And I managed to pick up two guys and danced with lots of my relatives...even my dad so that was fun!!! and the music was so good and it was just a huge blast!!!! plus, after a few drinks my leg didnt hurt anymore and I was happy to dance the night away!! but anyway if you want more details/stories you'll have to talk to me!!! Weekend fun
Hey folks, I guess its about time I update eh? So school is going good, a lot of homework just now and not so much time to do it in. My weekends are all filled up this month so gah! This past weekend I had a two day suicide intervention workshop so that was really challenging and difficult but also very good. I am now skilled in talking someone off a bridge so hopefully I will remember what I learned if I ever get into such a situation again (which is pretty much guarenteed given my choice of professions) I was involved in some very interesting mock sims...like talking a woman off a bridge, talking to guys on a crisis hotline (one had a shot gun), suicidal teenager, suicidal senior and a random person at a bus stop and another one at the airport. Yeah so in direct contrast to last weekend, this weekend I"m going HOME!!!!! For a wedding!! I am so very very excited...and I now have a ride to the airport but not one for sunday so I hafta get on that...and I have so much stuff that needs to get done before I leave cause there will be no time when I"m home or when I get back here either! I have a midterm when I come home on monday! GAH oh well....otherwise life is life as usual...been having some strange health issues and i've got a killer headache just now and its almost time for care group then off to the gym! oh college life!!! If I havent called you recently I"m sorry, I dont get the phone much these days!! Anyway I should cook some food and pop some drugs...Much Love Y'all

ITS MY BIRTHDAY
well only for nine more minutes but thats okay!!! I had such a wee-a birthday this year! It started out at midnight on monday where my friends sang happy birthday to me and then again this morning with the singing and then intermitantly throughout the day I had random people singing to me (including one of my classes) and I got gifts from my roommate and my friends and my family (they sent me pictures and a goat WOOT) and then when we went to work out tonight Heidi, Rachel, Alicia, and Heather took me out for food instead and the waiter was so nice and he gave me a free birthday dessert (except it was covered in ice cream and whipped cream so I couldnt eat much of it but they all helped out) and there was a sparkler in it and everyone sang and rachel spilt water on me so it was amazing! I had so much fun!!! YAY and I got to talk to tee and tiffy and brian and I'm just so happy now so its great!! anyway I am exhasted so I'm gonna hit the sack so much love y'all!

as some of you may have noticed we have started using a new expression: "wee-a" I'll provide the story so that y'all who read this (tee and tiffy mostly) can use it! we use the word "awsome" so much to describe everything but really if you think of the definition of awe and something that is worth being in awe of you realize you just cant use that word to describe little things so you say "awsome with a little "a"" but that takes too long to say so its been shortened to "wee-a" pass it on, I want to see this sweep Canada! Yeah so new stuff....Annaliese (who is in my dorm) was in a car accident a little over a week ago and she came home today and we brought her up to her room (even though she's not supposed to take on stairs yet) so thats really exciting to have her home! Also on fridays we have "sociology lunch" for anyone taking a soc class and we go and have further discussions about whatever was being talked about in class and in the school while we eat and it was just so nice to be able to talk like that with people who knew what was being talked about without a lot of extra explanation. I enjoyed it...yeah so nothing much new aside from all that oh except I was working out and managed a full 9 minutes straight of running so I"m finally starting to get myself into the rhythm of it after all these years (oh crosscountry how i miss you)...yeah so i was really happy...AND I didnt get to watch survivor cause when i got there they had just started a movie and since its not my house I wasnt in a position to insist so instead I got to watch Alexander, which I had wanted to see anyway...it was long and disturbing but still decent....anyway I"m off to stop procrastinating MUCH LOVE WEE-A
Shopping in the Peg
Hey folks. Today I got to go to winnipeg (rare treat for the students who dont have cars here) and we went to value village and I bought a COWBOY HAT...I am tres excited about that...its black and I love it! I"m going to add a coloured ribbon..probably blue but I havent decided for sure yet! Its also the weekend of the freshman retreat and due to a number of people going on that and/or home for the weekend my dorm as a total of two people left in it! My RA and me....so its lonely but we're making the most of it...such as me randomly adding a pita entry at 1am and then I will likely do some of my homeowork...or more likely read So Long, and Thanks for all the Fish...you know whatever. It will be my birthday soon and a few of us are thinking of going to the Peg to go to a club so hopefully that works out and it will be good!! Anyway I'm gonna go find something to do!! Well I am back at school and I finally have internet again so I'm very happy at this point. WOOT to msn. So far the year has been fairly good. I have 5 heavy classes but I think they will be interesting so it should be fairly good. My roommate seems cool and I think it will be better than last year. The food is still crap but thats okay, I should live despite that. I have my gym membership so that helps. Yeah, I dont really have a whole lot to say right now, just wanted to update so ya'll would know i'm still alive! anyway much love, hope its going well with you.
